How to deploy a Vite project in two minutes

Vite is one of the most popular frontend build tools. After npm run build it puts the finished site into the dist/ folder. All that is left is to put it online with HTTPS. Here is how to do that on Tuqo in a couple of minutes.

Step 1. Prepare the project

Make sure the project builds locally and has a package-lock.json (it makes the dependency install reproducible):

npm ci
npm run build   # creates the dist/ folder

Step 2. Upload it to Tuqo

There are two ways:

• The built dist/: drag the folder into the panel or pack it into a tar.gz or zip. If the set has an index.html and no package.json, Tuqo publishes the files as is.
• The sources: upload the whole project. Tuqo builds it on Node 20 in an isolated sandbox (npm ci when there is a lock file, otherwise npm install, then npm run build) and takes the output from dist/.

You can upload from the panel, with the CLI, over the REST API or even from an AI agent over MCP. For example, with the CLI:

TUQO_API_KEY=tqk_xxx_yyy npx @tuqo/cli deploy ./dist --site <site_id> --wait

Step 3. Done: the site is live

Right after publishing, the site is available on a name.tuqo.ru subdomain over HTTPS. The free SSL certificate is issued and renewed automatically. On paid plans you can also attach a custom domain and roll back to a previous version in one click.

FAQ

Where does Vite put the build? In dist/ by default, and Tuqo takes the output from there.

Does client-side routing (SPA) work? Yes, unknown paths fall back to index.html; see SPA 404 on refresh.

Do I need a server? No, a static site is served without one.
